RTP and House Edge Explained
Understanding these important concepts before you play will help you make smarter decisions.
What is RTP (Return to Player)?
RTP is the percentage of the expected long-term return of a game. If a slot has an RTP of 96%, it means that theoretically an average of ৳96 is returned for every ৳100 wagered — however, this is a long-term mathematical average and does not apply to every individual session.
Slot game RTP typically ranges between 92% and 98%. In strategy-based games like Blackjack, following the correct strategy can bring the RTP close to 99%. Roulette RTP (European) generally sits around 94% to 97%.
What is House Edge?
House edge is the complement of RTP — the casino's mathematical advantage. If the RTP is 96%, the house edge is 4%. This is the casino's source of long-term revenue.
House edge is generally higher in slots and lower in strategy-based games (Blackjack, Baccarat). Keep in mind though — anything can happen in the short term, and a jackpot can hit at any time.
Understanding Volatility
Volatility describes how often and how large the rewards can be. High-volatility games pay out less frequently but the wins tend to be much larger. Low-volatility games pay out smaller rewards more often.
Choosing a game that matches your budget and playing style is the smart move. Understanding this information will help you play in a responsible way.
Things to Remember
- RTP is a long-term theoretical average
- Every spin is completely independent
- A high RTP does not guarantee a win
- Set a budget before you play
- Play for fun, not as a source of income

Slots — Everything You Need to Know
Learn a few key things before playing slots to make your experience more enjoyable.
How Do Slots Work?
Slot games use a Random Number Generator (RNG) to determine the outcome of every spin. No previous spin affects the next one — every spin is completely independent and fair.
Winning a prize requires a specific combination of symbols along a payline or ways. Bonus rounds, free spins, and multipliers make slots even more exciting.
Which Slot Should You Choose?
Choose a slot based on your budget and preferences. For a smaller budget, low-volatility slots are a good fit — they pay out smaller prizes more often and extend your playing time. For bigger wins, go with a high-volatility game.
Start with popular games like Fortune Tiger, Mahjong Ways, or Fortune Gems — these are the most well-known among Bangladeshi players.
